Ah, the end of the long weekend. I was freaking out just a little bit as I was writing the rent check this morning – how did it get to be December 1st already? There were important serious real-life things I had intended to get done by December 1st and I am nowhere close! :(

On the other hand, I had a great fannish month in November. With help from writenao I did some fan writing every day, including all those ficlets for remixthedrabble, the crossover ficlets I'm still working on, and a lot of writing on several different fics for Yuletide. For the last day of the month I woke up with an idea for an extra Yuletide story and actually managed to write a whole first draft by noon and send it to beta in the evening. That never happens to me! I was so pleased!

Then also yesterday I got an e-mail from benebu, whom I'd met through the remix, offering to translate my remixed HP fic Let No One Put Asunder into French! OMG! I've never had someone do that before and I'm so excited!

And speaking of honors, congratulations to all you MEFA winners out there! And thanks to everyone who helped out by volunteering or by reviewing stories. I think I understood correctly that they had more reviews this year than ever before. It's awesome to see a part of LotR fandom growing like that after all this time.

I set the sale to automatically end at noon today, the code, for some reason, ran at 10:21 pm. I have set the prices back to the early price and they will stay that way for 3 more hours (until 3PM EST).

I am in need of a vacation, how about you?

Because, really, what's more fun than crossovers? I've been downloading and listening to more music lately since I've had my iPod, and I was thinking I should try sharing music on LJ more often, since I like it so much when other people do that. I don't have a website or a MegaUpload account or anything, so I'm using a basic YouSendIt account where the links will expire after a week. This makes me think I ought to try posting music once a week, say five songs every Friday or something like that. We'll see how it goes. Let me know if you have any trouble downloading these or if you have a suggestion for a better way of posting them.

I might try themes later but today I just have five songs that I like: ( by REM, Paul Simon, Speech, and Gnawa Diffusion )
